The Learning and Skills Observatory (LSO) was established to champion the development of education, learning and skills related evidence-based policy and decision making across Wales. The LSO is managed by the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills within the Welsh Assembly Government but is accountable and strategically governed by the LSO Strategic Group.
Guiding the work of the Observatory is the LSO Strategic Group, a body of senior representatives drawn from key education, economic and training organisations of Wales. Group Members provide strategic guidance and direction to the Observatory, and are also responsible for the dissemination and promotion of the Observatory throughout Wales.
